UC Ethical Values & Conduct Compliance Briefing

The Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services has developed mandatory compliance training that reinforces the University of California Statement of Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct approved by the Regents of the University of California in May 2005.

Each University employee is automatically registered to complete a UC Ethical Values and Conduct General Compliance briefing every two years. The briefing is designed to:

  • Raise awareness of the University of California Statement of Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct;
  • Convey University employee obligations with respect to ethical and compliant behavior; and
  • Familiarize UC employees with important ethics and compliance information, issues and resources.

Employees who conduct research will be registered to take UC Ethical Values and Conduct and Conflicts of Interest for Researchers. Non-research staff will be registered to take UC Ethical Values and Conduct. For more information, please visit the Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services education and training page.
